Get yer mind outta the gutter…i’m not talking about that kinda job; i actually have another job. This other job can’t really be called a job, cuz the day you go to work and can’t decide if it’s work or fun… that’s a good day! So my other job/hobby is in the performance industry. ever since i was a little kid, i’ve always liked to sing. At 5 years old, i started playing piano. then at 12, i started my interest in being a DJ. That’s me now. and not the dj on the radio, not the dj at the club, i’m the other kind of DJ… Weddings.
As of this past saturday, i have something close to 300+ weddings under my belt and believe me, it’s a good time. I work for a sub-cotracting company… which means i have an “agent”. if you wanna book me… call my agent.
the first wedding i ever did on my own…hilarious. Let me paint you a lil picture. beautiful couple. she was smokin hott, except for this gap in her two front teeth. it wasn’t cute like Sookie from True Blood, it was more like… the thing that happens when you get hit in the face with a shovel. The groom was a very well put together guy. both are def getting married for the wrong reason…. she got knocked up. it’s like hey here’s a problem… let’s make it worse!
The brides dress was probably the most expensive thing in the whole wedding. all guests were asked to bring something for the pot-luck, and the bartender was 5 coolers full of ice and bud lights. Along side the paper plates and table clothes, the centerpieces were baloons. not tied to anything… just baloons!
now here’s me walking in nice and early to set up my equipment…. right behind me… the brides’ brother with the “archway” (made out of PVC) for the ceremony. right on the dance floor!
so they do the ceremony… matzeltov. then we do the whole reception. i really wished them the best and knew that they were a great couple….
until the bride came over and grabbed my crotch as she requested a song…

It’s moments like these that I’m embarrassed to be a woman. I apologize on behalf of all self-respecting women everywhere.
i wouldn’t take it so far to be embarrassed… of course being a man i found it comical, but i just hope that whole being faithful thing worked out for them! good times.
